Community Programs by afsp.org

Why did I create this website? Because I am trying to answer the following questions:

  • How can I bring resources and hope to those battling mental health?

  • How can I increase mental health awareness, services, and access to the local communities?

  • How can I make an impact?

  • How do I turn what happened into something good?

  • How do I keep Aaron’s legacy alive in this chaotic journey called life?

I hope you will be able to join us on April 21, 2024 from 2-4pm at Round Lake Pavilion in Eden Prairie, MN for the 2nd annual green ribbon ceremony to honor Aaron, who passed last April 10 by suicide.  The moms group and I will be passing out ribbons to be tied throughout the Eden Prairie, Chanhassen, & Shakopee area in remembrance of Aaron.  Cub Food has graciously donated money for the event and we are hoping to garner more charitable contributions for the event.  Please join us to tie ribbons throughout the communities as visual reminders that mental health matters and that Aaron is not forgotten.

Equally important as the ribbons, we will be passing out silicone bracelets with text/call 988 and 4aaron.com  (a website I am creating ) for the students and others who attend. We hope it will act as a reminder for you as we enter Mental Health Awareness month in May and as Aaron's senior class wind down their high school experience and begin thinking of college or whatever is ahead for them.  We know how stressful that time and transition can be.
